Really excellent thread trying together the prevalence of two modern Financial WMD's underlying the current "calm before the storm": 1) 0DTE options, 2) collateralized lending.

I partially agree. I just read a great book by @AgatheDemarais entitled _Backfire_ about the mixed record of financial sanctions in particular. There are other forms of economic coercion that might be more effective in some cases like export controls.

This is an excellent article on how the Biden Admin has checkmated itself on energy policy. It’s not surprising that OPEC+ is flexing with increased OSP’s after giving Biden the Heisman on 11/4.
