.@GovRonDeSantis isn't worse than Donald Trump? Visit #Florida.

Just read this story with the @nytimes and it seems to me Mr. Linker isn't affected by what he's writing about.

As a Floridian, I am. As an American, you will be, too.

@jeffvandermeer and I write about this...
If he makes a bid for the presidency and is successful, the way he has devastated #Florida, is how he will lead the nation.
The hate he incites is spreading beyond the classroom and will almost certainly grow beyond his control.

Our differences are under attack. Children are bearing the brunt of it all.
One Republican strategist has said the time has come for the GOP to pay out to extremists they've long made promises for, simply to get elected.
Another political science professor in Tennessee pointed out that DeSantis isn't an outlier, but he is effective.
Florida was a part of the Confederacy. This cannot go ignored as we report on #education and how much of a "chilling effect" politics are having on burning out our teachers and affecting their curriculum.

For an explicit example, look at how the state now is involved with AP...
Read also, that pulling additional resources to answer students' questions in classes...teachers can't do that now.

Again: Teachers can't try to answer students' questions.
DeSantis and Trump don't need to be compared in a way that gaslights how extraordinarily harmful they both are.

Listen to educators, who do the most to take care of children. Politicians here are not.
