Since the adoption of #bitcoin in #ElSalvador I knew I had to travel there & see for myself. I finally had the chance to come down this past holiday weekend and I have to say it was even more amazing than I expected! Here are some of my honest thoughts and experiences👇

As this was the first visit (of hopefully many!) and it was just for a couple days, we decided to stay the whole time in El Tunco, a small but lively surf town just down the highway from @Bitcoinbeach El Zonte.

@Bitcoinbeach There were tons of bars, cafes & restaurants in #ElTunco to check out, and the local bus was a cheap & easy way to get to #ElZonte. My high school Spanish was more than enough for me to get around & the locals were happy to practice their English if it got down to it lol

@Bitcoinbeach Honestly I would've been content to pay with #Bitcoin even just a few times, so imagine how excited I was to pay with #btc no less than 8 times for a variety of different things. Here is the breakdown (priced in sats):
