Thread
In 2019, I lost my job at WeWork.

Unfettered, I started writing.

A year later, my book hit #1 on Amazon.

8 things I wish I knew earlier:
Accept:

Life doesn't always go to plan.

• Sh*t happens
• It's part of life
• Accept this

When life bottoms out, the only way is up.
Plan:

Where do you want to be in 5 years?

• What is your job title?
• Where do you live?
• What is your lifestyle?

Write it down. Work back from here.
Habits:

Open your plan. What are your goals?

• Select your top 4 goals
• Next to each goal, write a habit
• Each habit will be 15 minutes or less

You now have a daily to-do list.
Stack:

A simple mechanism to win the day.

• Block 60 mins
• List your 4 habits
• Complete your checklist

Try it first thing in the morning.
Example:

☐ 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 - publish one tweet
☐ 𝐁𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐚 𝐰𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫 - write for 15 mins
☐ 𝐆𝐞𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐞 - sweat for 15 mins
☐ 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐲 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐩 - read for 15 mins

Never miss a day.
20/20:

The perfect week...

• 4 tasks in a day
• 5 days in a week

Your goal is 20/20.
Reward:

Don't get addicted to cheap dopamine.

• It's not about likes
• It's not about RTs
• It's not about followers

It's about getting to 20/20.
Reflect:

Every 30 days, review your progress.

• Edit goals
• Refine habits
• Keep moving ahead

Life's a marathon, not a sprint.
Celebrate:

Within a year, my book hit #1.

• New job
• New goals
• New life

Don't underestimate what you can achieve in 2023.
How to mount a comeback:

• Accept
• Plan
• Habits
• Stack
• 20/20
• Reward
• Reflect
• Celebrate
