If we step back and think about what consciousness is, it is an evolutionary survival mechanism. It allows us to be decisive. To choose what is most valuable at this moment in time.

With this in mind, if we want to maximize survival, we must maximize our decision-making. To maximize our decision-making, we must see reality as it is. Only then will our decisions reflect reality maximizing our chance of survival.

So the big question is, what is our most accurate and valuable data stream if we want to see reality as it is?

After a bit of thought, I settled on time.

Time is the most valuable resource we have, as it is finite. We only have so much time in our lives, let alone in our day.

Because of the scarcity of time, we are incredibly conscious about how we choose to spend that time.
