@BobLoukas 1) Hey Bob, did the tour in 2018 on a motorcycle and it's my fav country.
Depends if you do the complete tour of Iceland
but you must see/do:
South of Iceland, Golden circle area:
-Reykjadalur trail which leads to a hot river. Perfect near the end of day, less people...

@BobLoukas 2) Nauthusagil. hidden gem on a road F249
If you take the F249 and you pass Seljalandfoss and Gljufrabui (overly touristic ones...), you will find it.

@BobLoukas 3) if you want to see this (mulagljufur canyon), go here:
you will see a little exit on Ring road on the way to Jokulsarlon. Take it, continue a bit, park your car at the end of the road and take the little hike. Worth it ^^
Pretty not known back then, don't know now...

@BobLoukas 5) if you want "local" spots for hot springs,
try "Laugavellir hot spring"
Take the F907 from Modrudalur (a farm located in north iceland). You will need a good 4x4, the path is rough, careful

@BobLoukas 6) I have so much spots really to share, but don't want to spam your feed.
To be more concise, I prefered the north than the golden circle (south) where all the tourists are.
You will see that all the attractions in the south are just overcrowded (massive parkings, mass tourism)

@BobLoukas 7) and the north is much cheaper than the south... ^^
