I hope somebody at #Bitcoin2022 will ask Thiel (as co-founder and chairman of Palantir) useful questions about his surveillance business, not benign stuff like "why did you invest in bitcoin, sir?🫠"

If you care about privacy & get the chance, some resources below👇 to help you:
1/ Thiel's "well actually" explanation for the naming of Palantir is truly... precious.
2/ Palantir partnered with the NSA to build XKEYSCORE, a real-time global data collection and analysis system, as revealed by Edward @Snowden (a #Bitcoin2019 speaker, if you don't recall!). theintercept.com/document/2017/02/21/xkeyscore-helper-notes/%20/
3/ Palantir partnered with U.S. HHS to deploy some of the same "burgeoning biometric cybersurveillance state" tools used to kill overseas, against American citizens during the pandemic. www.wired.com/story/palantirs-gods-eye-view-of-afghanistan/
4/ Thiel also invested in ClearView AI, whose facial recognition software continues to be used for extrajudicial illegal surveillance operations. apnews.com/article/russia-ukraine-technology-business-europe-national-governments-4a4db5b7340792f8a8b...
5/ Last year, Palantir partnered with Elementus and explicitly said they were seeking to offer blockchain surveillance services. www.coindesk.com/business/2021/11/09/palantir-expecting-big-things-from-new-crypto-security-software/...
While the Palantir Foundry for Builders Program is advertised as a startup/business tool, Elementus' website states that their compliance and analytics products are also "used by key U.S. governmental agencies." Their chief strategy officer is a Palantir advisory board member.
6/ The CIA's venture capital branch, In-Q-Tel, was an early investor in Palantir. And you can search through many of Palantir's active and past government contracts at Tech Inquiry: techinquiry.org/explorer/vendor/palantir%20technologies%2C%20inc./
Thiel's #Bitcoin2022 keynote is scheduled for Thursday, April 7th, at 1:30 - 1:55pm EDT on the main stage.
Because what's the point of hard money if you can only ask softball questions?
