Here’s what I would do if I was the CEO of Twitter. 🧵
1. Prioritize ad revenue and deprioritize subscription model. Win back advertisers who left the platform, and attract new advertisers by focusing on brand safety, new ad products, analytics and better account support.

2. Fix the user experience to retain users. Win back lost share and increase usage. Restore the old algorithm that worked. Stop suppressing accounts who drive positive platform engagement. Eliminate bots. Protect account verification. Get rid of paid Blue Checks. Re-enable 2FA.
3. Stop degradation of basic features to force users into a paid model, and rethink the value proposition of Twitter Blue. Drive subscriber growth by offering the right set of features for power users and large paid accounts.
Hint: The $8 blue check crowd ain’t it.

Hire back the engineers and support teams who made Twitter a great platform, and focus on making it a better and safe place for everyone (including advertisers), instead of optimizing for trolls and sycophants.
But hey, I’m no CEO.
